The Sites are operated by Musgrave Limited trading as Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland (“We”). We are registered in Ireland under company number 1776 and have our registered office at Ballycurreen, Airport Road, Cork. We are a limited company.

These Terms applies to your use of:

  • This website (the “Site”) available at and your use of our services and other sites accessible from our site and our mobile, tablet and other applications (our “Sites”)
  • “Centra Beat The Queue” mobile application software (the “BTQ App”) available for download at Google Play and iTunes, once you have downloaded a copy of the App onto your mobile telephone or handheld device (the “Device”).
    • Any of the services accessible through the “Centra Beat The Queue” App and the Website (the “Services”).

The Sites are presented in good faith as a resource intended to be helpful to its users. However, you should be aware that all usage of the site is governed by the following terms, conditions and disclaimers.  Neither Musgrave Retail Partners, nor any associated companies, nor any retailers operating under licence from Musgrave Retail Partners (“Musgrave Retailers”), nor any providers of content to this web site make any warranties, express or implied, as to benefits or other results of using this site. Furthermore, the foregoing parties make no warranties of any kind in relation to any use whatever to which the information or content provided may be put.  We will attempt to provide accurate information but give no guarantees and accept no liability for the accuracy of information provided, nor for the contents of any advertisements, nor for any claims or assertions or omissions in advertisements or any other content on this site.

This site may provide hyperlinks to other sites for informational purposes only and accepts no responsibility for any content on such sites nor for the consequences of any actions taken by any person or persons pursuant to usage of any such hyperlinks. Neither Musgrave Retail Partners, nor any parties providing information or other content on this site will be liable for any third-party claims or losses of any nature arising out of use of this site.

You accept that in proceeding to use this site, you have read and you accept all of these terms and conditions. You further accept that any and all consequences of your use of this site are your own responsibility and that you will not seek to take action of any nature against this site or any persons associated with it.

These terms, conditions and disclaimers are subject to change from time to time. In using this site you agree to adhere to any such change that may be in force.

Your personal data

In order to use the service you will need to provide us (Musgrave Ltd trading as Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland) with certain information that can be identified with you (Personal Data) so that we can ensure you get the products you want, when you want them and to facilitate payment and the general operation of the service.

We will use this Personal Data as follows:

  • It will be provided to our company owned and independent stores who are meeting your order so that the product that you ordered is ready for you on time.
  • It will be provided to our third party data processors who administer the website for the service and who process orders.
  • The website operators will send this information to our payment partners (some of whom are based outside the EEA) so that payment can be taken from your chosen method of payment and passed on to the store where you receive the product.  They will also send it to our marketing partners (some of whom are based outside the EEA) who will store this information so that we can send you information in relation to related products and services and to assist us to make the service operate as it is intended, for instance it will keep records of the numbers of purchases made so that you can avail of free product in accordance with the terms of any offers which may available from us our the store.
  • We will analyse your personal information, in order to develop our relationship with you and/or to develop and personalise the Services.
  • We will use the information to keep you informed about new services, developments, special offers, and any discounts or awards which we believe may be of personal interest to you, or which you may be entitled to.
  • We will use it to inform you of Musgrave sponsored events and of Musgrave promotions.
  • We will use it to carry out market research.
  • It will also be used to prevent, detect and investigate fraud, or any other criminal activity and to investigate improper use of the Sites and to carry out any activities or disclosures to comply with any regulatory, government or legal obligations.
  • We may also use the information to carry out activities necessary to the running of our business, including system testing, network monitoring, staff training, quality control and any legal proceedings.
  • We may also use it to achieve any other lawful purpose, including the sharing with third parties for the above purposes where you have given any consent required by law to such use.



These Terms refer to our privacy statement which can located here and our cookie policy which can be located here and sets out the manner and basis upon which we process any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us. By using our Sites, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate and that you are entitled to provide such data to us.


Neither our retailers nor us can be held liable for any interruption in the availability of the Sites or the availability of collection or delivery services or other services provided by Musgrave or your Centra and any inconvenience or loss this may cause other than as may arise under law or under these terms and conditions. These on-line sites and shopping services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and we cannot guarantee that the service will be fault free.


As a registered user on the Sites you are entitled to submit an order through the Sites to the retailer of your choosing for preparation and pick-up by you at that location. Once you submit your order you will receive a notification of your order and you cannot later either amend or cancel your order unless you agree it directly with the retailer.  For the avoidance of any doubt whatsoever, there is no obligation on either Musgrave or the retailer to agree to your request(s) to either cancel or amend an order.

Musgrave and/or a Musgrave Retailer also reserve the right to reject your order for any reason and we also reserve the right to reject your order for any reason once it has been received – sometimes this will happen because a particular product may be out of stock or cannot comply with your order for some other business related reason – we shall endeavour to notify you via email/ SMS or other form of notice should this be the case but sometimes that may not be possible.

We do not provide any assurance or guarantee that the food ordered and provided through the Sites will meet your particular requirements or will be of satisfactory quality – we have a large number of retailers using the Services and cannot be held responsible for every sandwich made, however, and notwithstanding, we would welcome any complaints you may have about a particular retailer so that we might investigate your complaint and retain the integrity and high value of the Services we provide to our customers.



Standard terms and conditions apply to Online voucher redemptions. The voucher entitles the owner to the discount value promoted if the minimum spend is above the threshold indicated on the promotional piece. Discount cannot be applied retrospectively. One of each voucher valid per customer only. Validity dates apply to date of delivery. Enter the code provided at the online checkout to receive your discount.

Vouchers are subject to store availability. 


If you have any special dietary considerations or allergies then it is up to you to communicate these directly to the Musgrave Retailer and not rely on the Sites as mistakes can occur in uploading menu warnings etc. and Musgrave specifically disclaims any liability with respect to the same.  Please call the Centra store prior to ordering if you have an allergy. Centra Beat The Queue will be available as a collection only service save where specified otherwise by us or by a Centra store.

For your security, Centra Beat The Queue will deliver only to the address given for any particular order. There must be a person over 16 years of age to sign for each order. Where there are any alcoholic products in an order then the person who signs for the order must be over 18 years of age. Delivery will not be made to public areas such as driveways, yards, apartment stairways or vehicles. Only occupied residences will be accepted for delivery. Only addresses within specified townlands or areas in the delivery area of your local Centra store will be accepted for delivery. Where an order is accepted to an address to which delivery is not possible, contact will be made and no charge will be made. Neither Centra nor Musgrave nor any Musgrave Retailer will be liable for any non-delivery. All region maps on our Sites are for guidance only and should not be considered binding. If you feel your area should be included for delivery, please talk to your local Centra; they’ll do everything they reasonably can to accommodate you. Delivery will be made any time during the agreed delivery period. Where a delivery is attempted but not possible, the delivery staff will leave notification of attempted delivery and will make contact to re-arrange. A charge may apply where a return visit is required for delivery, however every attempt will be made to deliver without a need to re-charge. Please note that where your order includes alcoholic drink or any other product that is regulated by the Intoxicating Liquors act, delivery may only be made within certain hours. The times at which such products can be delivered are set out below. This term is subject to change, at our discretion or if there is a change in the law.

Whilst every endeavour will be made for a timely delivery Centra will not be liable for any late delivery caused by circumstances beyond our control. In the case of a late delivery contact will be made to ensure that delivery can be made at a suitable time.


Due to the nature of the Services it may be possible that a price may be incorrectly listed on the Sites due to technological or human error and we would advise you that neither Musgrave nor the Musgrave Retailer is under any obligation to provide any goods at an incorrect price even after receipt of an order or any other notification of the same.

Please note that Musgrave does not have an obligation to monitor all activities on the Sites but reserves the right to do so and to keep and disclose whatever information we consider necessary to the relevant authorities should it prove necessary, and to remove any information (to include but not be limited to commentary) Musgrave deems to be inappropriate.

Prices displayed online are store specific and do not reflect the prices across all Centra stores. All prices charged and all prices set out on this Site are inclusive of VAT. Service charges (Delivery or Collection) where applicable will be added to the total price of all goods and are not included in individual item prices.


Musgrave does not permit the purchase of cigarettes through the Sites.


Where your order includes alcoholic drink or any other product that is regulated by the Intoxicating Liquors act, delivery and collection may only be made within certain hours. The times at which such products can be delivered or collected are set out below. This term is subject to change, at our discretion or if there is a change in the law.

You must be capable of proving that the person accepting delivery of the goods is over the age of 16 or over the age of 18 where the order contains any alcoholic drink or other product governed by the intoxicating liquors act, to the satisfaction of the person delivering the goods on behalf of Centra. The acceptability of the proof provided will be at the absolute discretion of the person delivering the goods on behalf of Centra. Goods will be not delivered without satisfactory proof of age being provided where requested.  An example of satisfactory proof of age would be a driving license, passport or Garda age card.


Payment for your order will be made directly with the retailer and under their terms and conditions and Musgrave shall not be held responsible in any way for such payments or any disputes in respect of the same.


If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information whether logging into the Sites in conjunction with Facebook, Twitter or any other social network account provided for within the Sites, or otherwise, as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.

You must not register on the Sites more than once and multiple accounts are not permitted.

If you believe that there has been a breach of security such as the disclosure, theft or unauthorised use of your user name and password (“ID”) then you must notify Musgrave immediately at If Musgrave reasonably believes that your ID is being used in any way which is not permitted under this Agreement, Musgrave reserves the right to immediately suspend access rights on giving notice to you and to block access to the Sites until the issue has been resolved to the satisfaction of Musgrave.

We have the right to disable your account at any time if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Terms.


From time to time, we may contact you about various products and services (including money off coupons and vouchers) offered by Centra. If you wish to opt-out of receiving such communications, please  slide the Receive Promotions slider to the off or left position in the app Profile section or untick the check box on the Profile section of the Beat the Queue web site.

By submitting your mobile phone number and confirming with the four digit pin we send you vis SMS, your account is created and you consent to our Terms & Conditions. We take your privacy really seriously and are committed to never sharing your information without your consent. You can view our privacy policy here.

By registering with the Sites, we will on occasion send you push notifications notifying you of new offers, promotions, services, products and competitions, as well as other account information that may be important to you. If you no longer wish to receive these types of communications you may opt-out from receiving them by turning them off at the device level through the settings of the device or they can be turned off within the “`Profile” settings of the App by sliding the Receive Promotions slider to the off or left position. Please note that if you are not registered on the App the only way to turn off push notifications is through the App settings.


When you place your first order on the Beat the Queue Site a €1 non transferrable money off voucher is available for use with your first order at the online checkout only. The voucher code must be applied before you place your order.  Only one voucher or code can be used per order unless otherwise stated. If you cancel your first order you will not get €1 off your first or subsequent order.


To unsubscribe from Centra emails and text messages, follow the unsubscribe instructions at the end of every email and text message.


We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Sites. Trade Marks, brand names and in the material published on our Sites.  Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

You must not attempt to modify the Sites or any digital materials you have downloaded in any way through the Sites, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.

Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of content on our Sites must always be acknowledged.

You must not use any part of the content on our Sites for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors.

If you download any part of our App in breach of these Terms, your right to use our Sites will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.

Our Sites are made available free of charge.

We do not guarantee that our Sites, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. Access to our Sites is permitted on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of our Sites without notice and at our discretion. We will not be liable to you if for any reason our Sites are unavailable at any time or for any period.

You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to our Sites. You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our Sites through your internet connection are aware of these Terms and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.


The content on our Sites is provided for general information only. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely and the offers or promotions therein do not constitute an endorsement of the goods or services to which those offers or promotions relate.  Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our Sites, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied that the content on our Sites is accurate, complete or up-to-date.


We may update our Sites from time to time, and may change the content at any time. However, please note that any of the content on our Sites may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update it and/or to keep it accurate.

We do not guarantee that our Sites, or any content on it, will be free from errors or omissions.


Where our Sites contain links to websites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. We have no control over the contents of those websites or resources and we accept no responsibility for any content on such websites not for the consequence of any actions taken by any person or persons pursuant to the usage of these links or resources.


We do not guarantee that our Sites will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.

You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform in order to access our Sites. You should use your own virus protection software.

You must not misuse our Sites by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our Sites, the server on which our Sites are stored or any server, computer or database connected to our Sites. You must not attack our Sites via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our Sites will cease immediately.


Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, or our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by Irish law.

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions, warranties, representations or other terms which may apply to our Sites or any content on it, whether express or implied.

We will not be liable to any user for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with:

  • use of, or inability to use, our Sites; or
  • use of or reliance on any content displayed on our Sites.

Please note that we only provide our Sites for domestic and private use. You agree not to use our Sites for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your phone or mobile device, programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of our App or to your downloading of any content on it, or on any website linked to it.

We assume no responsibility for the content of websites linked on our Sites. Such links should not be interpreted as endorsement by us of those linked websites. We will not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.


We have the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time. Any changes we make to these terms and conditions will be posted on this page. You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time that you order, unless any change to those policies or these terms and conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority.


Please note that these Terms, its subject matter and its formation, are governed by Irish law. You and we both agree to that the courts of Ireland will have exclusive jurisdiction.

Centra Beat the Queue Survey - WIN €5 Voucher Competition


1.1. By entering into the Centra Beat the Queue, win one of five €5 vouchers competition (“Competition”) entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions (the “Rules”).

1.2. The Promoter is Musgrave Limited trading as Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland having its place of business at Tramore Road, Cork (“Musgrave”).

1.3. Musgrave reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Competition and/or the Rules without notice for any event that is outside of Musgrave’s reasonable control. Any changes to the Rules, or cancellation of the Competition, will be posted on the Centra website ( It is the responsibility of entrants to keep themselves informed as to any changes to the Rules.

1.4. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, the conduct or results of the Competition, or any other matter relating to the Competition, the decision of Musgrave shall be final and unchallengeable and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into, comment issued, or reason given in respect of any decision made by Musgrave.

1.5. Musgrave retains sole discretion to withhold prizes without liability if in its view a winner is ineligible, the entry is invalid or a winner does not meet the necessary requirements as set out in the Competition Terms. Musgrave reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Competition in the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside of its control.

2. Competition Entrants:

2.1. The Competition is open only to residents of the Republic of Ireland over the age of 18, excluding employees and their immediate families (defined as parents, siblings, children & spouse regardless of where they live) of Musgrave Limited trading as Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland (“Musgrave”), a Centra/SuperValu store or each of their affiliated companies, their agents or anyone professionally connected with the Competition.

2.3. Musgrave reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that an entrant has breached any of the Rules, any applicable law (including copyright law) or has otherwise infringed the intellectual property of any other person. Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that any failure to comply with the Rules could lead to Musgrave disqualifying that person, without Musgrave giving any reason for such disqualification or granting any opportunity for challenge.

2.4. In the event that a prize-winner is disqualified from the Competition, Musgrave will, unless otherwise stated in the Competition Terms, select an alternative Prize-winner in the same manner as the original Prize-winner and such selection will be subject to the Rules.

3. How to Enter

3.1. The Competition will be run from the 12th June at 09:01 GMT and until the 16th June 2017 at 16.00 GMT (“Competition Period”).

3.2. Submit your entry by ordering your first Centra’s Beat the Queue online or app Lunch.

3.3. Entries must be made prior to end of the Competition Period and in the manner set out in the Rules. Failure to do so will result in rejection of the entry.

3.4. Entrants should be aware that they may be subject to local call charges depending on their own individual arrangements for phone charges or Internet access. In addition entrants should note that they will be required to discharge all their own costs in getting to and from the Event.

3.5. Unless otherwise stated in the Rules, only one entry per person is permitted. In the event that Musgrave discovers or has reasonable grounds to believe that the same person has made multiple entries, such person and any entries made by them shall be disqualified and, if such entrant has already been selected as a Prize-winner, an alternative Prize-winner will be selected.

3.6. Unless otherwise set out in the Rules, Musgrave accepts no responsibility for the return of any Entries.

4. Prizes

4.1. In total there are 5 prizes to be won per participating store. The winning entrants will get a €5 voucher which can be redeemed on your Beat the Queue app account

4.2. The winner will be selected at random based on the entrant successfully submitting the Beat the Queue App survey. 

4.3. The winner will be notified on or before the 19th June 2017. 

4.4. The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. An entrant will be only entitled to claim one prize.

4.5. For a list of winners please send a stamped envelope to Centra Competitions, Tramore Road, Cork stating for which competition you would like winners’ details.

5. Use of Entry

5.1. Musgrave will use any personal information that you provide with your entry for the purposes of the Competition and, where you have given your consent, for marketing purposes including the distribution of regular email updates or newsletters. Any personal information relating to entrants will be used solely by us in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

5.2. By agreeing to these Rules, participants agree to Musgrave creating material using the entry for promotional use for the purposes of marketing the Competition and Centra’s Beat the Queue Survey – win ‘free lunch for a week’ competition.

5.3. All entrants unconditionally agree (as a condition of entry to the Competition) to: (a) the use of their name, one or more photographs or video of themselves and disclosure of their country of residence; and (b) co-operate with or participate in any other reasonable post-Competition publicity.

6. Liability and Jurisdiction

6.1. Musgrave accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, injury (other than our liability for personal injury or death as a result of its negligence) or disappointment of any kind suffered by any entrant in entering the Competition, including as a result of any entrant winning or not winning any prize.

6.2. These Rules and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including the Competition), existence, negotiation, validity, termination or enforceability (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law.

6.3. The Courts of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Rules or their subject matter, existence, negotiation, validity, termination or enforceability (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
