Here's how you can enter for a chance for your child to be a flagbearer at the All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Finals in Croke Park and win €1,000 for their GAA Club;
- Your child’s GAA club picks up a Centra Hurling sharpshooter target pack at your local Centra store.
- Record a video of up to 30 seconds of your child hitting the Centra Hurling sharpshooter sticker target at your local GAA club.
- Upload your video to your Facebook, Instagram or TikTok account.
- Tag @CentraIreland and your GAA club and use the hashtag #CentraFlagbearer in the post.
- That’s it! You’re in the draw.
Four winners will be selected to be flagbearers at the All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Finals in Croke Park and they will also win €1,000 for their GAA Club.

Centra All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Final Flagbearer Competition – Terms & Conditions
- Eligibility:
- The competition is open to all children aged between 8 to 12 years old.
- The entrant must be the parent or legal guardian of the child (aged 8–12 years) whose details and/or content are being submitted. By tagging @Centra_Irl and using the hashtag #CentraFlagbearer you are confirming that you are acting on behalf of the child and that you consent to their entry in the competition.
- Entrants must be a resident of the Republic of Ireland.
- Winners will be contacted by Centra Ireland through the social media account used to upload the video and asked for written confirm that you, as the parent or legal guardian, have given permission for the child (aged 8–12 years) to participate in the competition.
- How to Enter:
- Step 1: A GAA club representative must pick up the Centra sharpshooter target sticker from their local Centra store.
- Step 2: The sticker should be applied to a hurling practice wall at the participant's local GAA club for target practice. The bullseye of the target should be 1 metre from the ground. Don’t worry, if for some reason your club does not have a Sharpshooter sticker you can still enter this competition.
- Step 3: Participants must ask a parent / guardian to record them striking a sliotar and hitting the sharpshooter target sticker.
- The strike can be taken from the hand or lifted from the ground.
- The strike must be taken from at least 3 metres from the target.
- Participants can attempt to strike the target sticker, or hurling wall as many times as they wish. Please only upload a successful attempt as your entry and please keep it to under 30 Seconds.
- Step 4: videos must be uploaded by a parent / guardian of the child featuring in the video to Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, tagging @Centra_Irl and their local club.
- Step 5: Entrants must use the hashtag #CentraFlagbearer to ensure their entry is tracked.
- Competition Period:
- The competition starts on Monday the 9th of June at 9am and ends on Tuesday 24th of June. Entries must be received by 6pm on Tuesday 24th of June.
- Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
- Prize Details:
- Flagbearer Prize:
- Four winners will be selected by our judges to be flagbearers at the All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Finals in Croke Park.
- The exact flag to be carried will be chosen by the organisers. Winners will not be able to select which county flag they carry.
- Each flagbearer will receive two tickets to attend one of the GAA All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Finals, which are scheduled for 5th & 6th of July in Croke Park.
- The flagbearer must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18.
- Transport to and from the game is the responsibility of the winner and their parent/ guardian.
- The winner’s parent/guardian will be contacted via the social media account the video was posted from and will have 24 hours to respond to the notification. If the winner’s parent/guardian does not respond within 24 hours, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be selected.
- The winner’s parent or legal guardian will need to give confirmation that that they have given permission for the child (aged 8–12 years) to participate in the competition and are happy to accept the prize on their behalf.
- Judge’s decision is final.
- Club Prize:
- The winners GAA Club will receive a cash prize of €1,000.
- Consent to Use of Personal Images or Video
- Centra Ireland will contact entrants to confirm they are the parent or legal guardian of the child in the video and give explicit consent for the submitted video to be shared by Centra Ireland and specified third parties.
- This consent will be required before any such publication or further processing of the video content occurs. If you consent to this processing, your child’s Personal Data, as defined below, may be used as promotional material as Musgrave/Centra sees fit, for example, on an internal or external Musgrave-controlled website, social media, press releases, or other promotional activity.
Categories of Personal Data
“Personal Data” in this notice refers to images or video in which you or your child may be identified, your full name, your child’s full name or a quote attributed to you or your child.
Third Parties
The personal data collected may be shared with trusted third parties in order to achieve the purposes stated above. These third parties may include:
- Social media influencers engaged by Musgrave to promote Centra
- Digital Platforms such as Balls.ie
- Social media platforms such as Instagram and Tik Tok
- Public relations agencies engaged by Centra
- External design and photography agencies engaged by Centra
- Print press (primarily regional).
Retention
- Musgrave/Centra will retain the images or video collected until we decide that the content is out of date or no longer relevant, at this time the images will be deleted from Musgrave records, unless they are added to the Musgrave archive, in which case they will be kept in permanently in the archive.
- Once published, quotes, images and video may remain in circulation after Musgrave has deleted our copy of the images or release; this is outside of Musgrave’s control.
Lawful Basis
The proposed lawful basis for processing your child’s image or quote for the purpose stated here is consent. This means that we will only process your child’s image or quote for the purposes stated here if you consent to this processing. You are under no obligation to give your consent, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. If you do not consent to your child’s images or quote being used for the purposes stated here, or if you withdraw your consent at a later stage, you will not be placed at any disadvantage by doing so. If you choose to withdraw your consent after your child’s images or quote have been published, some images or press materials may remain in circulation if they have been published before the withdrawal of your consent.
- Non-Transferable Prize:
- The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
- Prizes are subject to availability.
- General Conditions:
- Centra reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to a catastrophe, war, civil disturbance, or any other event outside Centra's reasonable control.
- By entering and participating in this competition participants are showing they agree to these Terms and Conditions. All entry instructions and any other specific details relating to the competition or the prizes form part of these Terms.
- Centra reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with the terms and conditions of the competition.
- The prize winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries. The judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into with any entrant.
- The Centra shall not be responsible for any matter arising out of or resulting from the enjoyment of the Prize. Centra shall have no liability to the Prize Winner in the event that the Prize Winners are unable to take up the prize.
- Liability:
- Centra is not responsible for any damage to property or personal injury that may occur as a result of participating in this competition, including but not limited to the application of the sharpshooter sticker to the practice wall.
- Participants and their parent/guardian are responsible for ensuring that the sticker is applied safely and without causing damage to any property.
- By entering the competition, parent/guardian’s of participants accept full responsibility for any damage or injury that may occur during the competition.
Important Notes:
- Transport Arrangements: The prize does not cover travel expenses for the winner or their guardian to and from the All-Ireland Semi-Final. The parent/guardian of the winner is responsible for arranging their own transport to Croke Park.
- Entry Period: Please ensure your entry is submitted by the specified closing date and time to be eligible for the competition.
