Centra, proud sponsor of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, has teamed up with hurling legend Patrick “Pa” Horgan to launch the 2026 GAA Sharpshooter Competition - and it’s open to young hurlers across Ireland.
GAA clubs can pick up a Centra Hurling Sharpshooter target sticker at their local Centra store.
The Club records a video of up to 30 seconds of its players hitting the Centra Hurling sharpshooter target at their local GAA club.
Clubs must upload the video to their Club’s Facebook, Instagram or TikTok account.
Tag @CentraIreland and use the hashtag #CentraSharpshooter in the post.

The Sharpshooter Competition is part of Centra’s ongoing support of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. With over a decade of sponsorship, Centra continues to support local clubs and the next generation of hurling talent across Ireland.
1. Eligibility:
The competition is open to all club players aged between 8 to 12 years old.
Entrants must be a resident of the Republic of Ireland.
The winning Clubs will be contacted by Centra Ireland through the Club social media account used to upload the video.
By entering this competition, the Club confirms that it has obtained explicit parental/guardian consent for any child featured in submitted images or videos. The Club agrees to provide written evidence of such consent upon request, prior to any promotional use.
2. How to Enter:
Step 1: A GAA club representative must pick up the Centra sharpshooter target sticker from their local Centra store.
Step 2: The target should be applied to a hurling practice wall at the participating local GAA club for target practice. The bullseye of the target should be 1 metre from the ground. Don’t worry, if for some reason your club does not have a Sharpshooter sticker you can still enter this competition.
Step 3: Clubs must record their players striking a sliotar and hitting the sharpshooter target.
The strike can be taken from the hand or lifted from the ground.
The strike must be taken from at least 3 metres from the target.
Participants can attempt to strike the target sticker, or hurling wall as many times as they wish. Please only upload a successful attempt as your entry and please keep it to under 30 Seconds.
Step 4: Videos must be uploaded by the Club to their Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, tagging @Centra_Irl and using the hashtag #CentraSharpshooter
Step 5: Clubs must use the hashtag #CentraSharpshooter to ensure their entry is tracked.
3. Competition Period:
The competition starts on Monday 20th April at 9am and ends on Friday 26th of June. Entries must be received by 6pm on Friday 26th of June.
Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
4. Prize Details:
Club Prize:
The four winning GAA Clubs will each receive a cash prize of €1,000.
Club Team Prize:
A team of 20 players have a fantastic opportunity to play at the Mini Games prior to the Hurling for Cancer Charity Match in Netwatch Cullen Park, Monday 24th August 2026.
The Club prize is for 20 players and 5 mentors.
Players must be aged between 8 to 12 years old, with accompanying mentors over 18 years old.
The winning Clubs will be contacted via the Social Media account the video was posted from and will have 2 weeks to respond to the notification. If the relevant Club does not respond within 2 weeks, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be selected.
The prize includes transportation to & from the match plus refreshments.
Judge’s decision is final.
5. Consent to Use of Personal Images or Video
By entering this competition, the Club confirms that it has obtained explicit parental/guardian consent for any child featured in submitted images or videos. The Club agrees to provide written evidence of such consent upon request, prior to any promotional use.
Centra Ireland will contact entrants to confirm that they give explicit consent for the submitted video to be shared by Centra Ireland and specified third parties.
This consent will be required before any such publication or further processing of the video content occurs. If you consent to this processing, your player's Personal Data, as defined below, may be used as promotional material as Musgrave/Centra sees fit, for example, on an internal or external Musgrave-controlled website, social media, press releases, or other promotional activity.
Categories of Personal Data
“Personal Data” in this notice refers to images or videos in which your Club and its players may be identified.
Third Parties
The personal data collected may be shared with trusted third parties in order to achieve the purposes stated above. These third parties may include:
Social media influencers engaged by Musgrave to promote Centra
Digital Platforms such as Balls.ie
Social media platforms such as Instagram and Tik Tok
Public relations agencies engaged by Centra
External design and photography agencies engaged by Centra
Print press (primarily regional).
Retention
Musgrave/Centra will retain the images or video collected until we decide that the content is out of date or no longer relevant, at this time the images will be deleted from Musgrave records, unless they are added to the Musgrave archive, in which case they will be kept permanently in the archive.
Once published, quotes, images and video may remain in circulation after Musgrave has deleted our copy of the images or release; this is outside of Musgrave’s control.
Lawful Basis
The proposed lawful basis for processing your child’s image or quote for the purpose stated here is consent. This means that we will only process your child’s image or quote for the purposes stated here if you consent to this processing. You are under no obligation to give your consent, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. If you do not consent to your child’s images or quote being used for the purposes stated here, or if you withdraw your consent at a later stage, you will not be placed at any disadvantage by doing so. If you choose to withdraw your consent after your child’s images or quote have been published, some images or press materials may remain in circulation if they have been published before the withdrawal of your consent.
6. Non-Transferable Prize:
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.

8. General Conditions:
Centra reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to a catastrophe, war, civil disturbance, or any other event outside Centra's reasonable control.
By entering and participating in this competition, participants are showing they agree to these Terms and Conditions. All entry instructions and any other specific details relating to the competition or the prizes form part of these Terms.
Centra reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with the terms and conditions of the competition.
The judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into with any entrant.
Centra shall not be responsible for any matter arising out of or resulting from the enjoyment of the Prize. Centra shall have no liability to the Prize Winner in the event that the Prize Winners are unable to take up the prize.
9. Liability:
Centra is not responsible for any damage to property or personal injury that may occur as a result of participating in this competition, including but not limited to the application of the sharpshooter sticker to the practice wall.
Participating Clubs are responsible for ensuring that the sticker is applied safely and without causing damage to any property.
By entering the competition, Clubs accept full responsibility for any damage or injury that may occur during the competition.
