Quick and delicious, this ‘easy to make, easy to eat’ recipe for baked eggs will have you tucking into this breakfast treat in no time.
Heat your oven to 180C/fan 160C/Gas Mark 4.
Put the tomato pasta sauce and the Parma ham chunks in a sauce pan. Heat over a medium heat until bubbling hot. This will only take 3 to 5 minutes.
Divide the tomato sauce and Parma ham into two ramekins*, being careful to leave about 2 centimetres free at the top. This is for your egg.
Now you can carefully crack your egg on to the top of the sauce. Transfer to the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the egg has set.
Be sure to wear oven mitts when you remove the ramekins – they'll be hot!
